BCBG Max Azria brought chunky bold glasses in a rich brown hue to this spring-summer collection along with relaxed and fluid clothing designs. For J. Crew, it was the wayfarer glasses for a bold, yet relaxed look. Milly, a New York based fashion brand, have presented retro-inspired cat eyeglasses in metallic white.
Charlotte Ronson, the English fashion designer, has presented oversized round glasses with bold patterns and unique shapes. Flirty shapes mixed with retro prints were showcased by Cynthia Rowley. Ralph Lauren’s spring 2014 collection also presented the classic feminine shape with the perfectly round glasses.
2014 Summer Options
The big chunky heavy glasses that you might have felt you’d rather die than wear are in style. If you love colours, you can go for bold coloured frames this season. Designers have also brought back cat eye frames, but with a unique look though. They have started coming in with a mix of two colours.
Over-sized round frame is another retro look that’s back and is being embraced by fashionistas. Funky printed frames and glasses with extra detailing are on trend too.
