Recently, the book launch of Bollywood’s most iconic superstar Dilip Kumar took place in grand Hyatt hotel, Mumbai. The event was accompanied by many legendary superstars like, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Amir Khan. They were dressed quite stylishly and donned a statement pair of eyeglasses that took all the attention.
Big-B wore big black full-rim round spectacles whereas Dharmendra chose full-rim rectangle black frames with light brown lenses. On the other hand, Aamir Khan gave up his love for full-rim and went for rimless rectangular specs with bold red temples.

Filmfare 2014
The 59th Filmfare Awards took place in the beginning of this year on 24 January. Where Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’s award winning best director, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra was seen wearing bold black wayfarers, paired with a grey suite. His stylish spectacles totally complemented his wavy hairstyle and beardy look.
Another director, Anurag Kashyap was spotted at the event in big matte black full-rim specs. The style is known as hipster and is quite popular nowadays, and well as they say ‘The Bigger the Better’. Amitabh Bachchan also wore his same geeky sexy pair of full-rim round spectacles, spotted earlier at Dilip Kumar’s event.
Zee Cine Awards 2014
The 14th Zee Cine Awards took place in the following month on 8th February and the host of the event, Abhishek Bachchan appeared in black bold nerdy spectacles while making the announcements for nominations. Another was the director of two super hit films ‘Tanu weds Manu’ and ‘Raanjhanaa’, Aanand L Rai, who wore light weight rimless stainless steel eyeglasses.

Then in March came the most awaited Academy Awards held on March 2. Among the dashing and ravishing celebs we spotted the two iconic stars with spectacles. Meryl Streep who has experimented with rectangle frames & cat-eye style was spotted with oval specs. Other was Robert De Niro, he was wearing rectangle halfrim specs with sleek shiny black temples.
IIFA awards 2014
At the starry night of IIFA that took place in Tempa, Rakeysh Mehra, Boney Kapoor and music director Pritam were spotted with spectacles of various shapes and sizes. Where Rakeysh Mehra switched to clubmaster, Boney Kapoor picked full-rim oval glasses and Pritam opted for a oversized black frame with a broad bridge and thick temples.
South Filmfare Awards 2014
The recent was the South Filmfare Awards which happened in Chennai on 12 July. At the event Dhanush, popularly known as kolaveri-di star, was spotted with bold wayfarer specs. Also, Jitesh Pillai, Chief Editor of Filmfare, was seen wearing rimless eyeglasses with thick grey temples.
